Depression and dealing with it

Dealing with depression can be very difficult thing. When I was at my lowest I thought what is the point of being here? who would care? who wouldn't miss me? .  I went through my mind of all the things I could do to end it all, I did try a few times and failed thankfully but I did get to that point I've just giving up, but the thing that kept me in this world was my family. I have friends but in my mind I was a burden and I had just lost and very important person in my life and I thought I would lose them too. So I didn't really think I I had much more to lose but I would have lost I would of lost out seeing my sister my brothers grow up seeing my family my mum and everything else I never really told anyone thiswhy are  only a few people and people are very surprised when they hear that because even though I was sad they didn't realise how sad I was after I attempted I went to my doctor and he got me in with a psychologist and I was diagnosed with depression I always had it in some way would dealing with things as a child with alcoholism in the family, bullying, loss of my dad but strange thing is that never got me down was my disability until I got judged for it it really made me feel low and I had never hate being disabled I had always made fun with it light Hearted . Anyway I'm rambling the reason I'm posting this is that with everything that I went through or felt there is someone there to help you there always is it might not be family, friends but talk to  your doctor teacher a good samaritan never give up always remember that your a strong person to never give up. To quote Spike Milligan we might see the darkest of days but we said the brightest of sunsets.

we have this documentary almost done just getting rid of interviews that are not strong enough and are dragging the documentary down.

this documentary is turning out to be great, bit of a few problems with audio. but we have so much footage of good interviews that we can change them.

we started putting the structure down on this monster of a documentary, by putting our interviews together.

first day we went through our mountain of footage to see which was usable or not. while des stole my chair....

Euros 2

today was a somber affair the team lost and are out of the league. so when the lads asked me to get an interview with the players i waited till the players had time to get over their loss before we bombarded them, but luckily we got all the interviews we needed

when i met up with the crew to film the games. we decided that i would go and get the interviews we needed for our documentary which were able to do though the team lost they were in good spirits

Wheelz cafe

In the wheelz cafe we were supposed to be filming the team trying to make money for their equipment  sadly no one showed and not much to shoot except the team getting their pictures taken.

new idea

we decided to go with a new idea because Bride had not confirmed if she would be in the documentary. we are going to film the Gealic Warriors wheelchair rugby team and their volunteers

Oh no

Stuart has said no to being on camera so I had to find someone quick luckily I got Conor Galvin who is a new volunteer but who has helped the team so much by his fundraising. no luck with Bridie yet either she did not get back to us about being in the documentary.

Development

We decided that Bridie was going to be our main talent because she had been there for so many years and after being volunteering for so long has become part of the club and how even though she isn't able to do as much as she could still goes to support her team. we hope to find out why she hasn't stoopped helping out there, maybe she is lonely,  The other two were to show one being Frank who is not as old as Bridie but has been at shelbourn for a long time and Stuart who is the youngest volunteer we want to know why he started doing volunteering for the team.

Back to the drawing board

We decided to meet in the library after class to discuss our documentary because we knew was not going well and we wanted to make something interesting. So we stayed with the sports club idea but instead of doing it on the teams we decided to do it on the people behind the sport, the volunteers we wanted to show the hard workers behind the clubs who give up their free time to help out these teams without being paid.

We decided on three people that we wanted and they were Bridie Kerr a woman who is in her eighties and has been volunteering at Droughada United for years, a man called Frank who helps out in Shelbourne football club snd Stuart Maclindon who is a volunteer coach of the Irish Wheelchair Rugby team.

Our jobs were: Des was going to call Bridie, Jason was going to call Frank and I was going to talk to Stuart.

Problems Problems Problems!!

We had to do our first Pitch and everyone hated it and I understood why the idea was boring we didn't what we were talking about and couldn't contribute because the guys were talking about ideas that they came up with on the spot so of course we were ripped to shreds.

Trying to put the documentary together

We were still going with the football idea but I was still unsure because the guys made it sound like we were promoting the clubs and nothing else. So I said to the guys that maybe we should look at it in a different way because I had no interest in football and I would know that the viewers who had no interest in the sport would watch it if it was purely promotional. Luckily the lads understood where I was coming from and we decided to think of a way that non football fans would enjoy the documentary.

Major Documentary idea stage

For our first idea for our major documentary was going to be the Irish Football League. I did not like the idea because we had not discussed it properly and we dud not have a clue where we were going with this idea and also I did not have an interest in this so I was not into the idea.

edit session

during edit sessions we focused on building out structor and trying to edit the documrnyary we would want it. there were not many problems only with one interview and sound wich i fixed and did some colour correcting

Howth day 2

6 in the morning we started shooting :(. we first got shots of the boats going out. later on we got the sunrise and i got a chance to shoot with camera jason pushed me while i held the camera. we got all the interviews we needed but it was hard because we had issues with the sound so we used the mic on the camera. and i couldn't get up to all the rooms due to my enemy...STAIRS.
